How can I use the RCworld Universe Chat ?
We do provide two different possibilities to enter our chatroom.
If you are not familar with any IRC client software nor any IRC technics and commands, the best option will be to use the CHAT link from the left navigation frame.
You just need to enter a nickname of your choice and click on the ENTER button. A few KB of data will be downloaded to your computer, then a new window will open. Actually the so called chat applet application will open a third window informing you about JAVASCRIPT being used and you need to grant permission to continue loading the chat applet. Please do so, this is a safe application, no need to be worry about even if you may do not understand what the warning/question represent.
As soon you allowed the application to continue, you will see in the chat applet window a few messages informing about the status while connecting to the server. The chat applet is actually split into two frames. The left larger frame shows you any message being "chatted" to all people in the chatroom, the right windows shows you a list of nicknames being online talking to each other.
Some technical notes,
this applet only support Netscape4.0, IE4.0 or above. Please grant the permission when the pop up window appears from Netscape and IE to load the application. Newer Internet Explorer installs under Windows XP do not install by default a Javascript Engine. As a result of it you may do not expirience any pop up windows asking you for permission. If this is the case, please read the desired question at this FAQ for further information on how to update your Windows XP Internet Explorer to run Javascript applets like our RCworld Universe chat.

Who is Valisk ?
Valisk is your friendly robot within the chat channel, taking care about to be your message service, watching bad attacks to the RCworld channel and providing statistic information usable for any application.
How to use Valisk ? [part 1]
In order to use the robot functionality, you need to "say hello" to Valisk :). You need to get known each other. This happens if you type at the chat line:
/msg Valisk hello
If Valisk does not recognize you as an existing user, he will reply you the hello greeting and tells you about adding your account and so called hostmask. Do not care about the technical terminies, simply go on.
In order to use any commands of the robot and to identify your account in the future, you need to let Valisk know about a password for your newly created account. This password can be anything you like and you should assign it immediately next to the "hello" procedure like:
/msg Valisk PASS >password<
Of course the word within ">password<" needs to be replaced with the password of your choice.
If you finished this two steps, Valisk knows you as a user and you can type:
/msg Valisk help
at any time in order to receive an overview about the existing commands. If you are unsure about any of the commands or how to use them, simply type:
/msg Valisk help >command<
replace ">command<" with the name of the command you would like to receive help to it and the robot will list you some additional information if available.
